Two Norwegian Young Men Saved a Drowning Lamb

A heroic action to save an animal while putting one’s life at a stake may not be something we can easily find in our daily lives. The following animal rescue story that happened in Norwegian in 2018 may drop your jaw due to its breathtaking scenery. 

The rescuers could have ignored the lamb for their comfort, but Eric and Torvald did their bold rescue instead out of their kind hearts.

Eric who was 20 years old and Torvald who was 19 years old, then, are Norwegian citizens. They were about to take scenic photos at Alnes in Giske region along with their friend Vetle Fastard when suddenly they heard a bleating lamb.

The lamb was about to drown in the river when Eric saw it as a white dot afar. They both decided to help the lamb and bring it to safety even though they knew that it might be fatal for them

The water was bitterly cold, which may cause a jam muscle to one who fell into it. Moreover, the waves are wild and dangerous and can be fatal to each of them. Still, the two boys who did not have any rescue equipment decided to save the lamb by holding hands.

Eric and Torvald had difficulty in doing the rescue due to the slippery and steep rocky shoreline to snatch the lamb. Eric was the one who went down to catch the lamb while Torvald had to hold his hand and helped him and the lamb gets to land.

Upon successfully rescuing the lamb, the young man happily holds the lamb he and his friend had saved earlier. Their friend, Vetle, helped capture the heroic rescue on his camera. The young men then became celebrities in their region thanks to their rescue act.

The lamb was safe and sound and was able to reunite with its flock. Rescuing animals is an honorable act each of us should always do at any possible time.
